Owned by the Boy Scouts of America, Washington County has catapulted into a new phase of technological growth, Black Cap Mountain and its towers signal new beginnings for Downeast Maine.

"Bangor is the largest, closest hub to get what we need. We’ve leased tower access on Black Cap Mountain, located just outside of Bangor, bringing in high-capacity broadband into Washington County," said Nelson Geel, Axiom’s chief operating officer. "From the beginning we’ve had no lack of demand, but being so far away, we’ve needed a bigger connection to the Internet."  read more »

Solving Rural Maine's Bandwidth Issues

Axiom Technologies is committed to bringing adequate bandwidth to Washington County. We are working with the ConnectME Authority, a board established by Governor Baldacci in August 2006 to increase the telecommunications in rural Maine. The core purpose of Axiom's Bandwidth Project is enabling high technology data and telecom services in Washington County.  read more »
